Lee Francois is a resilient entrepreneur and former computer teacher from Boston, Massachusetts, with a background in digital design and a passion for visual art and storytelling.

Raised without a father and with a mother who worked tirelessly from sun up to sun down, Lee grew up learning to navigate life on his own. His journey has been shaped by challenges — from raising a child with sickle cell disease at 19, to enduring homelessness in his twenties, to serving four years in prison. These experiences have become a vital part of his identity and drive as a creator.

Despite those struggles, Lee discovered his love for technology early on. He received his first computer at age 8 and wrote creative stories using Microsoft Word just for fun. In high school he found a passion for graphic design and video editing, which paved the way for his career.

After being discharged from the military and questioning the foundations of his religion, Lee fell into a brief depression and felt alone — but persevered and earned a bachelor's degree in digital design. He also taught himself video production and photography through YouTube while transitioning from incarceration, proving that self-determination can overcome any obstacle.

Today, Lee serves as the Director of Media Arts for Bethel AME Church in Boston, MA, and runs his own video production company — producing content for more than a decade for organizations throughout New England. His ultimate goal is to create a full-length film to share his story and inspire others to turn adversity into artistry.
